Is Animal Science considered an impacted major at SLO?

I am a transfer student hoping to get in for Fall 2012. At SLO my major would be animal science (specializing in the Equine Science). Just wanted to know what my chances are of getting in. I’m currently working to get all my transfer classes done, but it’s hard getting into classes because of the overpopulation of students. I may not be able to take Organic Chemistry, which is on the assist.org website. On SLO’s website, that class is recommended, but not absolutely required. It basically says I wont be as competitive without the class. Other than that, I should have all of my transfer classes done by the time I tranfer, I have a 3.7 GPA, and lots of extra-curricular. Any ideas? Thanks!

To answer your original question, every major in Cal Poly is impacted, including Animal Science.

The only difference between majors is the level of impaction.
