lol
well you know when ur sick of the SATS when u spend the whole afternoon pulling split ends out of your hair rather than do the practise tests!:)

I'm so glad I'm done with all that testing- I took each test once. 1 SAT, 3 SAT II's (well all in the same day) and 1 ACT. Now I'm done and it feels wonderful- never ever again.

i have spent nine saturday mornings testing:

3 SAT 1's
1 SAT II FRENCH
3 SAT II MATH 2C
1 SAT II WORLD HISTORY
1 SAT II MATH 1C
2 ACT

I AM DONE.

1 old SAT I
2 new SAT Is
SAT II math IIC and writing
SAT II physics and world history

5 Saturday mornings. Ahhh... it is done, for now at least.

I joined Academic Decathlon so that I would grow to actually like testing. So far its working. I never shiver when I have to take tests anymore! And thanks to the IB, essay tests aren't SO scarey.

I have to take practice tests all the time. And when I make it to the travel team, I'll have to take about 5 or 6 rounds of testing. 50 minutes for each of the 7 subjects. and 50 for the essay.

My Junior and Senior year, I am taking:
SATI
ACT
SATII US Hist (for Rice U)
SATII Physics (for Rice U)
TAKS test (super duper easy)
various Ac Dec tests (scholarships involved)
AP UShist, Physics, Calc BC, Spanish (unless I get into an "We LOVE IB" college)
IB Physics, Psychology, English, Spanish, History, Theory of Knowledge, Math Studies

I think those are the only major test I'm taking in Highschool.

SAT 1 March, October, December
SAT 2: Math 2c Biology on November
Next week I have the ACT's.

Nine test dates...
SAT I: January, March, May, November
SAT II: June, October, today
ACT: March, June

For some reason, I didn't study these past few times, but whenever there is an SAT test coming up in 2 weeks, I always get stressed even if I don't study.

I spent a nice Saturday afternoon in TOKYO taking the GRE.

That was lame.

Yes, I am!

No more until AP exams! Woo Hoo!

Whether or not I did well to day is another question. :(

Bwahaha!

Haha. I've read the Korean testing article hundreds of times already (in different forms), and it still doesn't fail to amaze me.

I am glad my Dec SATI test is over for now..i signed up for May Xo so more trouble for me. LOL..seems amazing that one test would make me so happy since its only one compared to you other people's 5+ jeezz...well im sick of testing cause i was caught the cold from a brother (dang him) and had to take..hopefulyl i do well..since i felt warmth inside me of conquering the SAT. hehe

i personally am so unbelievably sick of standarized tests....

i dont think they should be abolished though...i just hate taking them

theyre stressful, physcologically draining, and frustrating

also, on top of all of that: i wanna sleep on saturdays!!!!

I'm only a Junior, and I'm extremely tired of being tested.

Haha. Being tested. Doesn't that make you feel like a lab rat at times?

But seriously...sometimes I want to just be a kid. It's frustrating and tiring caring about grades and PSATs and PSSAs (state standardized tests) and ACTs and SATs and my graduation project and AP exams and regular school tests on top of regular homework.

By the way, you silly little high schoolers, in the midst of all of this work we expect you to find time to hold down some type of a job, truly give back to the community and fully devote yourself to a couple activities that you love.

I can't wait until next year when I will hopefully have some type of acceptance letter in my hand....

I own you guys: 12 Saturday mornings ( i missed one saturday morning, on ABC)

6 ACT
4 SAT
2 SATIIs

Thats almost three days of my life I wasted... I didnt even get phenomenal scores.

Yea, I am pretty sick of testing. Two SATIs, 2 SATIIs and then my last SATII in December. But I wouldn't eliminate the SATs. What else is there to distinguish the high GPA, dumb but diligent kids from the smart slackers, or the kids at easy schools from those at hard schools?
