Is Anyone Excited About the New Harry Potter Book?

I want Harry to turn evil, and kill voldemort. than maybe his lover person comes and convinces him to stop, and he kills himself... sounds just like the SWIII plot lol

LMAO. I want Ron to turn evil, and make Harry go against him... -_- he should've been smothered by the rocks in book II. ehh.. well, that's what HP fanfic is there for. The HBP's probably a new character.. and if Dumbledore dies, it's going to be a sad, sad ending.
I can't wait! although I haven't been bouncing off the walls lately.. I think... been looking forward to it for a lonnng time. Started reading the series in sixth grade, and am still a huge fan.. almost six years later. I was hoping to go to the Comic-Con (supposedly, Scholastic's giving out cool HP goodies) on Saturday, but it's a no-go. So I'm just looking forward to the midnight release party.. whoo hoo..

"With a few flicks of his magic wand, Harry Potter has turned Rowling into a billionaire (we estimate she's worth $1 billion). She's one of only five self-made female billionaires, and the first billion-dollar author."

Not too shabby...

About the leak? I DON'T WANT TO KNOW!

I can't wait... :)

what's neville role going to be?

oh, and it's totally not Dumbledore

How do you know it's not? A thousand bucks is a serious bet...............but he's the last character I want to die :(

Filthy muggles, you will not know the truth till Saturday...

Seriously, I hope Hermione contributes more in this novel. 1<3 Hermione!!!

And the back cover shows the dark mark over hogwarts..............maybe Hagrid dies?

That's got to be telling....Mr. Weasley says in Book 4 that Voldemort and his supporters sent the Dark Mark into the air whenever they killed.

Am I the only one who's more excited than ever for this one? I would have thought that the fact that the series is almost over would make people more anxious to read it, but maybe not?

Anyway, I'm thrilled. I mean, despite the fact that I don't consider myself much of a fanboy, I've almost definitely read the HP books more than any other book or series in my entire life, and I feel like I've grown up with Harry, having started with the first book in 5th grade. Personally, I suspected that Dean Thomas was the Halfblood Prince, because my absolutely obsessed friend (who I look down on because it took the movies to get her into the books) pointed me to the spot on some fan website where it said that more plot was originally intended for Dean, including his parents' story, as though he was raised as a Muggle, his dad was secretly a wizard who was killed before he could tell his wife. Of course, that could be BS, but that was just my suspicion. I think it's more likely that it's a new character, but we shall see.

... yeah, I just lost all credibility as a non-rabid fan, didn't I?

Yeah...I've heard the Dean theory, too. Maybe you're right.

Anyone here ever heard of the Knight to King theory in which Ron is actually Dumbledore? The theory is based on the huge chess game in the first book that's supposed to symbolize the whole wizarding war. It's pretty neat, although some of the evidence might be considered over-the-top.

Real convenient how on 4/6 books, I am the same age as Harry.

I like HP. Lets me escape to another world when I am down. Kinda like a crack adict gets away lol.

The week before the Calculus BC exam(I selfstudied, so I had put off all the BC content till the week before), I dropped everything, and simultaneously read all 5 books of HP. Very refreshing.

I'm totally overflowing with excitement!!!!!!!

well not to be mean but honestly i want hagrid to go, i don't really like him! but i am excited, even though not as much as i was when i was smaller and i don't really keep up w/. all the theories anymore, but i did pre-order so we'll see soon !

Can't wait! What about Snape being the half blood prince? I have never understood why Dumbledore so relies on him. And, the rumors that Ron will turn evil?

Ron turning evil is my own secret hope for the books.. It probably won't turn out that way. -_-
Snape is a possible HBP.. a passage from the book seems to point to a new character- most likely the HBP or the new DADA professor (who could be the HBP). Other rumors about the HBP include Seamus and Hagrid.

Oh man, that back cover is definitely a bad sign. Someone had to have been killed at Hogwarts. I hope it's not Dumbledore...

Backcover? I haven't seen that yet. We'll see soon enough, though. (: I just hope Amazon keeps its promise (and that I wasn't too late to preorder) and delivers my book this Saturday. crosses fingers

I've never been a fan of either the Wonder Trio (as I like to call Harry, Hermione, and Ron) or Hagrid. It's not that their characters are flat; I just think there're more interesting and intriguing characters out there. Snape is my absolute favorite - best character JKR ever wrote in this series, I personally think.
