congrats to your D.did she apply EA1 Or II?beacause im international and im just tense i guess cause of the wait, although theyv said we should wait till Jan 15......

and alongwait, mind my ignorance but could i also get to know my admissions counsellor.....?id like to check that out if its possible for me to do that......
@aznkidvicious..i dont know when you get that....
one more Q, is there a way to confirm your application status?
good luck to everyone and happy holidays :D

I received a letter last week regarding scholarship money. Received $13,000 per year! I am not sure I am attending but it certainly is a possiblity now!

Baraka I think she did EA II but Im not positive on that honestly...congrats just above NJ...I hope they give my D something but Im not counting on it...She is most likely not gonna be able to go there..35 grand is a bit ridiculous IMHO...

Baraka101- go into the website and click on Admissions..then click on Contact Us..from there on the right you will see Find Your Admissions Counselor. Once you find which one is yours, there is a spot to either email or IM that person. I emailed mine with an indepth explanation and he got right back to me about an hour later. Worth a try! Good Luck!

I recieved my acceptance letter the 30th. This was definitely one of my top schools. Im out of town, but my mom called and told me. YaY.!. (Hope I can get the money...maybe something for being a minority) Good Luck.!.!.!.

I took my D to visit Hofstra this weekend..Looks like a great school...only thing is how does one afford to go there...Still no word on any money so i assume she wont be getting any?...Oh well..i dont have 40 grand to send her there..shame too its only 2 hours from us and would be great for its proximity to NYC...I just dont know how we could possibly afford to send her there...

Pretty hefty price indeed. A few emails back and forth with the admissions counselor and all of a sudden a decision has been made according to the website. Waiting on the letter now, although I suspect D got in...but it would be a big struggle between tuition and distance compared to the instate FL schools that she has been accepted to already. Will visit within the next month. So MomfromPA..I feel your pain.

A decision has been made but I don't know if I've been accepted. I'm sincerely hoping I do. (: Some money would be nice too, if I could get money, my parents might actually let me go. They don't 'want' me to be so close to NYC. Well, whatever, I'm going to end up living in that area anyway. (:

GOOD ESSAY

I GOT IN. I logged in and had the online packet, which is the same thing as they get in the mail. Not sure if I'll go. Depends on what the other schools say. I don't know enough about Hofstra, though. I have yet to visit. I hope to, though.

alongwait, I was accepted but initially it said on the website that a decision was made and it was some time after I received my acceptance packet in the mail that the website changed. So I would not worry yet! Hope this helps!

I haven't gotten one in the mail yet but I got an online one. A bunch of colleges I'm applying to are slow at the moment. Even state schools! Ugh.

Just found out DD was accepted into the honors college. I'm wondering how that will affect her average though considering she has to maintain above a 3.0 in order to keep her scholorship.
