Is AP Chem worth taking?

Even though I just started school about a couple of days ago, my guidance counselor asked me what I’m planning on taking in senior year. My former chemistry teacher (who also teaches AP Chem) told me that I should take AP Chem senior year because she requires an advance math class (i.e. AP Calc, Common Core Alg II and Trig, etc…) as a prerequisite. Last year, I took AP Bio with Sat II Chem and this year I’m taking Honors Physics and Organic Chem. The thing is that my school recently implemented some rules that prevent you from like not skipping lunch or you force you to take Economics and/or Government, AP Calc/Stat/Comp Sci, and 8 semesters of gym (in accordance with NYC department of education’s change of graduation requirements).

As previously mentioned, I took one science AP and currently taking a “college” science elective. With all of these classes combined, they exceed my mandated science credits. I’m debating whether or not if it is worth it to take AP Calc AB and AP Chem together or I should either one classes for the other. Just to give you an idea, I’m interested in going to a 7 year medical program (like Sophie Davis via CCNY or George Washington University). Like should I drop AP Calc for AP Comp Sci or AP Stat or simply take AP Calc with other APs (in order to fulfill my graduation requirement).

Here’s my tentative senior schedule:

AP Calc (2 periods), AP Chem (2 periods), AP Art History (1 period), English 12 (1 period), Gym (1 period, 2 semesters worth). You can choose up to 8 classes but they cannot go over 7 periods a day.

I need to take these courses in order to graduate: 2 semesters worth of gym, 1 semester of health, 1 semester of government or economics, 2 semesters worth of AP Math, and 1 semester worth of art/music.

Thank you and I apologize for writing a really long post.
