is ap chinese useful?

hi i'm a high school student looking into taking the ap chinese exam this may. i havent taken the course which is not offered at my school but i am a native speaker and hoping that my chinese will suffice for the ap exam

i wanted to ask a few questions before registering...does ap chinese seem impressive to colleges?(yes i know im not supposed to just impress colleges but well we all have to) i'd rather not spend 90 dollars on an exam thats not going to do me any favors...also does the ap chinese score earn college credit at many schools?(i looked at a few including hyp and penn but they only had the usual spanish french latin and german for foreign language ap credit)

again id really like to save my 90 bucks if possible

i also have similar questions about the sat chinese subject test(from what ive heard its extremely basic and proves nothing to colleges unless you are non-native, and even then its still an insultingly easy test) is there any benefit at all to a high sat ii chinese score for a native chinese speaker?

bumpity bump

For native speaker, the only advantage of taking AP Chinese is to get a higher rank in AP scholar faster. It may not help you in admission otherwise. You may still get the AP credit from it in college though. Nevertheless, you probably would not take Chinese in college anyway.
Same for subject test. Harvard explicit says they would not consider native world language as part of the required SAT2 subject tests. It will be considered only as additional subject test. In other words, it has very little weight in admission if any.

Thank you!
