is AP National Scholar an impressive award?

If I don't self-study, I would be able to get 6 APs by junior year and will DEFINITELY get the award senior year, but obviously if I get it senior year it won't go in my applications.

Basically, is it worth it to self-study 2 APs and get the award by the end of junior year?
I want to get into U of C schools....i.e. Berkeley UCLA but so far, my application is weeeaaaakkk.

No sports cause I'm not the type and I use to live on Goodwill and etc. up to high school so it was hard to afford dance classes, volleyball clubs, etc. like the other kids who does extracurricular at ages of 5 or 6.

I volunteer, am in NHS, Red Cross, and other clubs. No positions though....
I suck. I know. Please help me decide whether self-studying is worth it?

you still have time, I’d focus more on improving your EC’s. if you can, since many UCs do look quite numerically, you’d definitely be better off as a national AP scholar than not.

If you could start something yourself, maybe you’d be in a better condition?
