I signed up for AP PSYCH this year for my junior year because it sounded interesting and was an AP class so it’d give me AP credit. I found out just recently that the class is named AP Psych in semester one but is named Sociology in the second semester. I have never heard of an AP class doing this. Maybe it’s a Texas thing? Is this a thing at other schools? I’m pretty bummed that I’ll probably lose my rank this year from Salutatorian to like the top 5.
Depends on the HS. Ask your guidance counselor.
And honestly nobody will care if you are #2 or #5 in your HS class.
At my DS’s school, they pair AP Psych with Neuroscience to make a yearlong class. At our local HS, AP Psych it is a yearlong class by itself.
