^^^ Never!

I realize this is an old thread, but there may still be people that this question applies to.
IMO, history is as hard as you make it. Some people love history and therefore find the class and test to be very easy. Then there are those who don’t mind history, but can do well in the class on on the test with studying. Lastly, there are those who can’t stand history, then take the class simply to try to do well on the AP test to get out of history. Those people sometimes pass, but usually don’t do well. So it depends on the person.

i’m specifically talking to the person who revived this thread.

^^cs, oh… the person who revived it is a new member too, I don’t think they understand the whole process yet…

I’m one of the ones who can’t stand history. I just can’t take it seriously.

^^ha, same here. That’s why I got a 2 on the test. I couldn’t study for it, it was just too boring.

I got an 84 in the class but a 5 on the test. The class isn’t difficult, it’s just a lot of reading. I mean a LOT of reading. My teacher was also extremely picky and the tests were quite specific.

I was one of the first people to get an A in that class in like, 4 years, and got a 5.

My class was very tough, like the average grade was like a B- (and my teacher usually bumped up our grades because they were pretty low by themselves). Our tests were usually 50-60 multiple choice questions, maybe our class wasn’t good at MC? But, anyways, the AP Exam was much easier than the tests my teacher gave us. The multiple choice questions were easier because they were broader (instead of detailed questions in the class tests since they were only on one chapter). The DBQ and FRQs are pretty easy too. I got a 4 barely studying at all.

I honestly just studied that a week before the exam and got a 4, I don’t know how I did it!

if you’re good at history, it’s not as hard, but it’s still a lot of work. if you’re not good at it, it is challenging. It is very time consuming. It’s just a matter of connecting info, knowing all of it, and being able to regurgitate it for essays. And there is the huge amount of work…my class had 10-15 pages of reading a night.

I thought that the whole affair of APUSH was rather easy… I got a 5 and I didn’t study. Really though, as many have stated before, it depends on the teacher a lot. My teacher had a class average of like 4.2 on the exam for the previous year (with no one getting below a 4), so he was really intense about everything.

I got a 5, but just barely lol. I’d say the class is easy (I used it for nap time so I could concentrate in my other classes) but the exam is tough. Essays aren’t too bad, but the MC made me cry. Maybe if I had stayed awake it would’ve been easier (story of my life)

For me, it wasn’t hard at all.
Pulled an A in the class, 5 on the AP, and 640 on the II.

Why do people ask if certain AP classes are hard? It’s entirely dependent on your school and your teacher.

For me, APUSH was easier than any class I have ever taken in high school, honors, AP, college-level, regular level, elective, or otherwise.
