<p>On the common app, there is a section where you can put which AP tests you've taken and the scores you've got. Is that a big factor in college admissions, or do they just use it as a way to determine your placement if you got into that college? I go to a HIGHLY competitive school where the courses are really hard and not exactly AP-focused. In that case, I was wondering if it's worth it to prepare for all these APs, or is it better to just take a few that you're pretty positive you'll score a 5 on? After all, I know most colleges have placement tests that you can take to opt out of courses later.</p>
