hi i'm debating on whether to go into berkeley for applied mathematics. i'm kind of scared of the rigorous math courses that many people say berkeley have. currently i'm a high school senior who's taking ap calc bc and ap physics b. i went through algebra 2 honors during freshman year, and many people, including me, thought that it was a pretty difficult course (and the teacher was known for being the hardest in the entire school). unfortunately, i passed it with a B. D: and then i took regular trig/precal because i got intimidated by that algebra teacher, but the trig/precal course turned out to be extremely easy for me. eventually, i took ap calc ab, which was fairly okay and i got a B during first semester and an A in the second and got a 5 on the exam. now i am taking ap calc bc, which i have a B but could have gotten an A if the teacher didn't give me an F on my homework -_-.

the thing that worries me the most is that I'm struggling in physics B!!!!! I find it pretty difficult, and my grade is always in the high C's. D: i might have a chance to bring it up to a low B by the end of my senior year, but i find myself having a hard time in this class. sure, i get certain topics about mirrors and lenses, and simple magnetisms and quantum theory, but there's a lot of other topics like torques and electricity which i sometimes don't have a good foundation of.

also, what kind of career can i pursue in with just a bachelor degree in applied math?
