I know American University is known for being great for people who are majoring in political science and international relations, but I have basically no clue what to major in. Right now I'm very tentatively thinking maybe Sociology, but that could definitely change within the next few years. The only thing I know for sure is that I wouldn't want to do something in math or science. So is AU still a good school for me even if I don't necessarily want to major in something that has to do with politics?

The washington schools in general yes are good places if you want to get on the global scene. I would consider american, gw, & georgetown for your list.
