Hi I am a freshmen at California CC.
I had 4.0 GPA last semester, but I think I will get a B this semester in Calculus B.
I will be done with UCLA Business econ prerequisites except Accounting 1,2 after this semseter..
But I heard B in Calc 2 is an 95% reject for UCLA/UCB Econ even if i have all A in other class.. is that true?
anyone that got into UCLA Business Econ with B in Calc 2?
I am thinking of switching a major if that is true...
OR should I withdraw and retake Calc 2? (This option is not my favorable choice because I already have one W and if I wilthdraw this semester, I will only be taking 9 units.)

I thought I would be fine with one B, but this absurd rumor scares me..
Plus, can u guys chance me?
I will have 3.87 GPA (1W) +Prerequisite finished + TAP Certified + few extracurricular.. (Phi Theta Kappa, Business Club)
This will be my application on this fall most likely..

I got to say pal, that you are more than likely highly misinformed. Just keep on getting good grades and completing those pre reqs as well as write some decent essays and you will have a good shot at UCLA! Basically I am saying…, relax!!!

that’s the stupidest thing i’ve ever heard. u have a great shot as long as u get As in macro, micro, fin/man acct. one B in the hardest prereeq wont ruin you. u should apply to berkeley’s econ btw. better than ucla’s biz econ imo. alot of econ majors at berkeley get recruited heavily, after all the haas kids get first dibs of course. but alot of companies hire haas and econ majors at berkeley more than they do at ucla for econ or biz econ

Oh… hew… Glad that it is a ******** rumor…
I was so terrified until now… thank you guys…
perhaps it was because the guy that told me was international student? I don’t know…
Anyway glad that I still have a shot. I thought about changing my major although I took all econ prequisite for whole year except accounting.
Thank you :)

For our spring semester prior to transfer are we required to maintain a 2.0 or a 2.8 gpa? I’ve been hearing different things but i want to know if anyone knows for sure.
