Is Barron's Psy practice test MUCH harder than the real ones?

Hi, everyone. I self-studied the AP Psy by using Barron’s. The review is great and I think I have crammed most of the book. I got about 10 wrong on the 1994 released exam and I am pretty confident. But when I did the MC part of Barron’s test 1, I was frustrated. I got more than 30 wrong. How can I get such a result? Do you have the same feeling? Help me, plese!!!

Hmm… well when I took the practice test in Barron for AP psych (also self studied) it said I would get a 3, I ended up with a 4 and pretty sure it was close to a 5.

Thank you. I found that there are many abbreviations in the Barron’s test. Will the real ones use the same method or will they give the full name with the abbreviation? I lost a lot of points for failing to identify what those abbreviations were.

You’re going to have to elaborate on what exactly is abbreviated in barrons, I don’t remember it was a while back… But as for the actual test, it was very straight forward. As long as you know your terms well, you should be fine.

Well, Psych has gotten harder over the years. your performance on a 1994 exam isn’t exactly accurate. with Barron’s i also got around 30 wrong but im confident i will get a 4 on the real exam. just relax, you will be fine.

I was about to ask this exact question. I got an 85% on 1994 and a 72% on Barrons #1.
