Is being a FBLA state officer a good hook for Wharton and Ivy League?

FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) is the largest business orientated club in the US.

If someone was interested in going into business (ibanking, finance, quants) and had relatively high stats (97.xx numerical GPA, near perfect SAT/ACT, top 10 class rank out of 300, etc.), then would being a state level officer be a good hook for top schools like Wharton and Ivy League?

It is not a hook. It is a nice EC.

FBLA is good to have, but it is definitely not a hook.

Also just a quick point, Wharton is part of the ivy league. Wharton is the business school of Penn, which is an ivy league university.

As the others have noted, it isn’t a hook.

Also, as a bit of unsolicited advice, avoid writing “orientated” in your college essays because it isn’t a word. The word is "oriented ".
