Is being nominated by my school for the Presidential Scholarship an honor?

So I'm trying to fill out the common app and I am thinking of putting "Nominated for the Presidential Scholarship" as an honor. The thing is, I don't even know if I got the award and I know I won't qualify just based on my SAT scores. My school chooses two students every year to fill out an application to the state superintendent to be qualified, though (and I am one of the two this year). Do you think it is OK to put this down?

It certainly sounds like an honor to me. I would title it as you did, and provide a brief explanation, such as, “selected as one of two students nominees, out of my class of [fill in the number], for state superintendent’s highest scholastic award” or whatever the particulars of the award may be.
