Is a class like biology required for college admission? It is not required for me to graduate but would a college prefer to see a well-rounded student instead of a concentrated one?

ABSOLUTELY. Most colleges want to see 3 years of science (some want 2, some want 4, science and engineering schools want four or more). Most don’t oficially require the triumvirate of Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, but they expect that you have taken those three, even if you aren’t majoring in science. You will be put at a significant disadvantage if you don’t take Biology.

I don’t get it. You’re plan on AP Calc and you’ll take Physics but you plan on skipping Biology?

As for getting the minimum requirements for HS graduation, most kids who are applying to the top schools probably fulfilled their states’ minimal requirements by the end of their sophomore year. So what’s so special about that?

Take bio.

Thanks for the quick replies, I will be sure to take biology sometime.
