Is Boulder right for me??

So I got accepted into their pre-business program and I just can’t decide. The town looks great and I love Colorado. But, I am out-of-state so it will be expensive. Also, I am kind of worried that I will just turn into a bummy stoner while I am there. Anybody go there or have any advice? Is it worth it?

You probably decided by now, but what are your other options? There are serious students in Boulder, a good number of very straight students from India and China, that may hang in their own cliques. CU Boulder is stronger in the natural sciences, math, engineering and music than it is in business, I would say, but if math is your bent it may be a good fit. Boulder start up community in software is strong if that interests you.

Boulder has a reputation as being a stoner school, but there is much more to CU than that. It is a well distinguished research and higher education institution with a number of exceptional and dedicated students. A great number of the students that attend are dedicated to active and healthy lifestyles, and while there is undeniably a drug scene, it would be hard to be a bum in a town with as much to do as Boulder. CU is absolutely worth it! Come be a buff!
