Is Brown REALLY easier to get into than the other iviez?

Well, if a student at Northwestern or Duke or Cornell or whatever school you want to focus on is able to receive the best education he or she can in their field of study in a culture best suited for his or her personal growth, I struggle to understand how they are not offered the same level of intellectual preparation as someone who goes to Chicago or Harvard or wherever for the best education in another field of study.

Actually, I know people on Wall Street who are very hesitant to hire from Harvard or Princeton because the graduates tend to feel entitled and be somewhat lazy. They go for that second tier of school that we’re talking about specifically because the students receive a top quality education but still have something to prove. Within that field - Brown included - I struggle to see any fundamental difference between the quality of schools, even though I agree that they are all very different in their approach to education.

Anyway, this is a tired discussion that always comes up on this board.

Socrates. Drink. LOL. Nice. Was that poison IVY he drank?

Gabba, sometimes I feel like that’s the case.
