From my understanding, I don't think any math above Calc I is necessary for Economics major (all you need to do is know how to take derivatives and integrals)... and Statistics.

But will Calc III be useful for economics?
From my understanding, Any math above Calc II is only necessary for engineering/mathematics major.

DHL3, I'm a Business/Econ major too. Take Calc 3 - if anything, it'll look good. I think that it probably won't help us at all though (as far as ever really needing it), but it was an interesting class and so many people stop at Calc II so you might impress the adcom more if they see you went all the way with Calculus.

well yeah it'd look good.
But im not talking about looking good in adcom.
I'm just wondering if taking calc III will help me personally.
like if it will make econ courses lot easier by knowning calc III materials..

i know it'd look good though;)
but im not sure if it'll be any relevant to econ/business :P

Didn't help me one damn bit. But then again, it may eventually. Just doesn't seem like really "applicable" information, but neither did Calc II in my opinion. Just a good class to take to challenge yourself and make you think analytically.

Just remember that if you apply to Stern, you're going to be going up against me, and I've already got Calc III done. :D J/k....but actually I'm not...
