So basically my plans were to transfer to another CSU to get an engineering degree. however, due to high costs of room and board and all, i think i'll end up staying at my current school for one more year. the thing is that, i'm just building up on units at my current units. i could stay for a comp sci degree but i'd really love to do chemical engineering.
my gpa is around the 3.6 range (doing too many classes at once) and i hope to get that back up to the 3.8 range since i have the extra time to take things easy
So i'm turning my sights on the private schools to do some wonders for me and help me get an engineering degree.

is it hard to transfer to cornell university's college of engineering?
how about harvey mudd? also what's up with the general engineering degree there?
what about claremont mckenna? and Penn?
not sure about Harvard and Yale but i'm thinking they'll be crazy selective

are there any other schools that aren't hard to get into that would offer A LOT of aid to a student with great recommendations and good scores?
