Is December too late to take sat subject test for RD?

So I’m taking the 2 subject tests today,but I don’t think I will do well on them.so if when I get my scores back I’m not satisfied is it fine to take them again in December? Most of the school’s I’m applying to have a deadline for January 1 and I’m trying to get things in before winter break starts.

Some schools with January 1 deadlines will accept January tests.
