Is DECEMBER too late to take the SAT as a senior?

Depending on the scores I receive from today's October SAT, I might want to take it one last time because I severely screwed up the essay, and I'm kind of freaking out about it. However, I'm taking the Subject tests in November, so I can't take it then! Is December too late for RD applications to colleges?

depends on the college.

I wish I could help but as Raylee mentioned, it depends entirely on the colleges you wish to apply to.

@obsessedcornell1‌ True. Let’s suppose there’s a January 1st deadline - since that seems to be the case for most of the college’s I’m applying to RD. If I rush the scores, do you think i’ll be alright?

I think you will be alright. Today’s October 11 SAT has most scores out by Oct 28, so November SAT scores should be out well before January.

Don’t freak out. Read the application materials. For most schools, the January test will probably even be OK. There results are sent within a few days to the schools, I believe, and reading of files by the admissions department is not instantaneous. Check with the school, but December 6 (and even January) is probably fine.

December exam results will be available by Christmas and I don’t think you will need to pay to have results rushed, but you could if this will make you feel more comfortable. January results will not be released until Feb 12th and while many schools will still be reading applications that late, you run the risk that your app will have been reviewed already.

@ncccc1701 I agree with everyone else. Considering the fact that this month’s October SAT scores will be released on the 28th, the December scores should also be released in time for the January deadline. In fact, you may not even have to rush them at all.
