Is dropping out an ap class and self-studying one a good method?

Hi, for my upcoming junior year I applied for AP art history, AP US, AP Lang and Comp, and AP Bio, but I'm intending to drop out AP art history and self-study for AP psychology. I heard that AP psychology is similar to AP bio so it would be much easier to self-study it. Would dropping out AP art history in the beginning of the year go into my record? And would it be okay to take three ap classes in school and self-study for AP psychology? Thank you.

Nah. And you could probably stay in Ap art history and still self psychology. Psychology is an insanely easy exam. I crammed for two days before the exam with just the Barron’s AP study guide and got an easy 5.

If you don’t want to take both though, don’t drop out of Art History. I only self-study because my school barely offers any APs, but if it offered the classes, I would take them so that I don’t have to sacrifice my own time as long as I pay attention in class.

And yes it would definitely. There is a girl at my school who took online AP economics (both), then at school took APUSH and AP English lang, and got 5’s on all of her exams.

And I know that from other schools there are plenty of people who take 8+ AP exams in one year so yeah. Definitely possible. xD

Self-studying psychology is not difficult at all. I wouldn’t drop Art History if I were you.

Don’t drop it. Like stated above, AP Psychology isn’t that hard to self-study, it’s very linear and very straight forward.

I wouldn’t do that. Just self-study psych along with your current courseload. It’s an easy self-study I promise.

Of the 21 I took, AP Psych was one of the easiest.
