Is Emory a meets need school?

I’ve been told this by a few people and a look online seems to say it as well but my son’s financial aid award does not match what Emory has listed as our need on the summary.

Is it possible they haven’t added all the financial aid information yet or are they not actually a meets need school? He was admitted RD, so just last night so the financial info was updated today.

It is, but they can calculate “need” however when they decide the reward taking into account the CSS profile and a lot of other mess. I recommend telling them if other comparable schools give better offers. They may respond.

I understand they determine our need differently. In the financial aid section of OPUS there is a need/cost tab. It lists what they’ve determined our need is (and it is different from those schools that do not use the CSS Profile) and then it lists our award. The award does not match our need so I was just wondering if there might still be something coming or if they don’t always truly meet need. Or maybe where they list our need it isn’t truly what they consider our need?

@Gills98 : I believe that need calculator is known to be off, but I don’t know. Best to just straight up ask them.
