the advantages and disadvantages of Fordham??

Intercollegiate Studies Institute's review of Fordham University from their guide book Choosing the Right College 2008-9: The Whole Truth about America's Top Schools. http://www.isi.org/college_guide/sample/2008/ford.pdf

We are also considering Fordham, so as a result of a recent visit and some reading up on it , here are my conclusions:

Advantages: nice bucolic campus with the Bronx right outside the gate! (kinda unique); easy access to NYC - you'll never be bored!; strong alumni connections in NYC; highly rated business school with lots of connections and internships; Jesuit liberal arts focus...; good study abroad program

Disadvantages: lots of commuters; somewhat of a "suitcase school"; pretty restrictive core curriculum

Overall I found it to be a pretty unique place. If you want NYC, but also a campus (unlike NYU with no campus) Here's an analogy
