How strange is a world that you can believe more of what you hear on comedy central’s John Stewart Show , than on the Fox News… Fox is a blatantly biased tool…

I used to watch Fox religiously. I was a huge O’Reilly fan. Yes, it really is that biased. Look at the line-up of Fox: O’Reilly, Hannity, Beck, Huckabee, etc.

Greta and Geraldo are pretty good. I actually quite like Greta. But the rest… yeah it’s bad.

My thoughts on this are: Fox News is biased, but so is every other network out there.

The only reason why Fox is hit on is because we have a very liberal political machine right now and Fox is the only non-liberal news media outlet.

But you all should know that Fox has people on there who obviously are not Republican and/or conservative.

But to say that Fox is biased and then not mention any other news media outlet is just really not an accurate picture. =/

I mean… just the principle behind it… Humans are biased. Newscasters are biased. News programs are biased.

^ The point of this topic was to ask if Fox really was that biased. We were not talking about news sources in general. That was not the point.

MSNBC is biased liberally.
CNN is actually pretty decent in my opinion. They have a few slanted people both ways, but I find they do a pretty good job of being balanced.

There, happy?

Really? I find the NY Times quite succinct and easy to read.

Yes. Super-biased. And I am not talking aout Hannity, Beck, et al. They have opinion shows, and we know their opinions are righty. No, it’s the “news” coverage, what’s included and what’s omitted. It’s the chyrons. Biased to the max.

I read CBC News in order to get the most general opinion

Speaking of which, I haven’t watched TV in weeks, so this may be old news, but…

http://www.cbc.ca/world/story/2010/09/20/recession-over.html

WE’RE SAVED!

Is that Christian or Canadian?

Canadian haha

I used to get CBC at my house, so that’s why :b

Yes, the Christian one is CBN- sorry. But with CBN, you know what to expect- a Christian take on the news. But Fox?

FOX news “foxes” up the news.

It’s not really fair how everybody says "yes FOX is biased, look at Beck, Hannity, and O’Reilly!

The term “Opinion show” means “not even trying to be impartial, strictly factual reporting”.

Fox News is definitely biased. My teacher had us watch a documentary on Fox News and how the media manipulates the information that is given to the viewers. In one instance, they had decided to spend the next THREE DAYS debating two political candidate’s POTENTIAL views on abortion (not their actual opinions, just their projected opinions). Millions of other things happened in the world, but they decided to dance around a controversial subject. Also, for at least 2 days Fox News wouldn’t acknowledge that Obama won the presidential election.

Yeah, it should be “yes FOX is biased, look at Megyn Kelly!”

I mean, when you call the president terrorist on air… that’s pretty low.

^
Or that he hates white people.
Or that his and Michelle’s fist bump was a “terrorist” symbol. LMAO!

Well, he is Muslim. What did you expect?

Yes. Example: There were people on Fox News that are claiming that the Ground Zero Mosque is being funded by terroritsts. One financial supporter of the Mosque is actually the 2nd largest shareholder of Fox News.

http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2010/08/fox-shareholder-funded-mosque-imam/

(I support Fox’s position on the Mosque, BTW, but that’s a separate issue).

And how can you not be biased when you call the President a terrorist, a Muslim (when he has stated repeadetly that he is Christian), claim that he was born in Nigeria or wherever, and make a $1 million donation to the GOP?

@CPA- Face palm
Can’t believe I forgot about that one.

My favorite Fox News flop has got to be the time that they took out full page adds in a bunch of newspapers claiming that their competitors had not covered the 9/12 protests in the capitol. Best part is- the image was from a CNN clip!!
And all major news organizations did cover the story.

If you really want to get unbiased news, get it from both sides of the spectrum. For instance, watching Fox News and MSNBC will give you perspective on both sides. And if they happen to be reporting the same thing, then you probably found some unbiased news!
