Is general psychology hard???

I'm going to take general psychology 101 next Tuesday in a community college. I was wondering..how hard are the materials? Is the subject interesting to you??

somewhat interesting. the beginning is a lot of names and history (which is boring). it’s really easy, though.

Psych 101 is not hard. But most people go into it thinking it’s going to be an abnormal psychology class, and it’s not. You learn about the history of psychology, different orientations/standpoints, even things like parts of the brain and sleep cycles, and in my class there was an introduction to abnormal at the very end of the class. It’s pretty interesting.

ridiculously easy. you can self study the class 100%

I’m taking this class now, online, and it’s not hard at all. I haven’t done the best on some quizzes, but I just needed to study a little more carefully. It’s extremely interesting! I love it :D

I’ve taken two intro courses, and they were very different from each other (IB course versus college course). It can be taught in many ways, because an intro to psychology is…such a broad topic. Some instructors specialize in certain fields, so some may focus on the biological aspect of psychology, while others may focus on Freudian concepts. It’s up to the instructor, really.

As for difficulty, it’s as difficult as you make it to be. My high school course was easy, the college course was much harder (surprise).

I thought Intro Psych was extremely interesting and easy…but since I’m a Psych major, I’m a little biased. :)

I’ll echo what others have said: it’s a lot of names and dates to start with. But once you get past that, it’s pretty much all vocab. If you have good memorization/study skills, you’ll do fine.

If AP Psychology was anything like “general” psychology, then it is profoundly easy. ( Even if your inebriated :P)

This makes me feel a lot better  lol

I just finished my online psychology class, it’s as easy as the professor makes it to be. It was a lot of reading, and being that it was an online class, all the tests were open book, VERY helpful. Overall a very interesting class.
