Quick question

I'm going to be a college freshman in the fall and I've decided to major in psychology. I took AP psych my junior year and I got a 4 on the exam. Should I take psych 101 this semester to freshen my knowledge, or just use my AP credit and skip it?

Do you want to take the class? If not, don’t. If so, do.

I’d probably take it, just to see if you like it and want to remain a psych major. Plus, a refresher would probably be nice, too.

I have taken upper-level psych classes without taking intro, and I never felt at a disadvantage. Intro at my college “only” provides a broad overview of the subject. If your college does the same, you can safely go straight to the upper-level courses.
