I also want to know how much would it help if it is underrepresented.
I think the Asian population in Georgia is pretty high so my guess would be that it’s definitely not underrepresented.

Not really…Georgia ranks around 15th in the amount of Princeton Acceptanced received.
Georgia and North Carolina are both top 10 states in terms of population, larger than New Jersey. And they send a fraction of students to Princeton. So are they underrepresented at Princeton? Perhaps, but I doubt they are underrepresented enough for it to help your chances.
Georgia is not an underrepresented state when compared to others in that kind of Mountain Range region like the Dakotas, Wyoming etc. and honestly these things like demographics will probably not be the reason you are rejected.
Try to stop worrying about where you live (because you can’t change it) and just work on your grades, test scores, EC’s essays… if you haven’t applied already.
are there any states from up north that are “under-represented?”
The one beside Canada
Every year there are a few states where no students were admitted for that year. This seems to suggest that Princeton isn’t concerned about what state a student is from. Applicants are not competing with students from their state or even their school. They are competing with every other applicant out there.
if you’re counting on getting accepted because you’re from an underrepresented state, that’s not a good sign…
I got accepted so maybe it helped @alfawarlord
