Which states have a low percent of high school students attending harvard? Are Georgia and Florida low on this list or just the midwestern states?
Thanks

Florida’s probably decently represented. South Carolina…Georgia…Mississippi…probably not as much.

Deep South, Alaska, Hawaii, places like Montana, Idaho, etc. are generally underrepresented.

3% of Harvard’s class comes from the mountain region

1.6% come from Central. sobsob

Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana. I think they are pretty unrepresented. I only have heard of one person from one of these states going to Harvard last year.

i think a more accurate way of measuring underrepresented might be by the number of applicants they receive, people have mentioned states like montana and mississippi but those sates have low populations or very few people who would consider applying to a school up north in boston

What about Nebraska? Is it underrepresented?

Does North Carolina fall into this category? By ‘Deep South,’ does that mean most/all or only a few? Sorry, anything to increase chances by .001%! ;)
