Good morning,
I will be completing college this spring. Just had my graduation application approved, and I am super relieved.
My question is: Do I have to attend graduation to get my diploma? Is it a lengthy process? Or can I skip it?
Thanks!

Most colleges do not require attendance at commencement. They will mail you the diploma eventually. Commencement is mostly for parents and family who usually have supported and finance your education. Do they care?
Okay. I figured it might be mailed, but I didn’t know if it was a process or you get it the next week. As far as my family, most don’t know I’m in college and no one financed it except me.
Thank you.
You should contact the registrar and make arrangements to get your diploma if you don’t want to attend graduation. Congratulations on finishing college!
That’s a good idea. I wasn’t sure if I would be able to do that early since all of my credits wouldn’t actually being completed then.
