Is Harvard worth it for BME?

My intended major is Biomedical Engineering, which is offered at Harvard. Yet I don't know if I should bother applying to Harvard since their engineering department (I've heard, do not know if it is true) isn't as strong as it is elsewhere. So, do any of you happen to know if their engineering program is good?
Also, when applying to Harvard, do you guys happen to know if the AdComs take into consideration the applicant's intended major?

Is Harvard worth it for BME?

Not really.

I will be attending Harvard starting the fall of 2006. I am also interested in BME concentration (major) at Harvard. I chose Harvard over Johns Hopkins BME (which is the best in the nation) because I had to consider other academic factors.

but if you really want the best BME, I would say, go with JHU.

But if you come to harvard, you will not be disappointed.

Yeah, that's the same issue with me, even though I'm really interested in BME, I don't know if I'll end up with that major, given the difficulty of it. But hopefully everything will end up going right.

Good Luck Next Year! (I might see you in two years :P lol)

Yeah, you can always change your mind about your major. I applied to Harvard as a mechanical engineer (makes more sense at MIT or Caltech, right?). Needless to say, I'll be changing that major once I hit the campus next fall :p
