Is having a BA in computer science less employable?

No, there is nothing wrong with a BA. But usually, those with a BA are interested in multiple fields, not just engineering.

@guineagirl96 That describes me, i am a hopeful musical theatre double major, and I want to know BA CS employ-ability, i am deciding between CS and Econ.

Yeah, my current plan next year is a math/cs/music triple major, which would be all BAs. Keep in mind, some schools don’t even offer BSs so how could they hold that against you?

@guineagirl96 NYU does… but only with a double major in math. I think CS seems cool, and by the looks of it, is highly in demand, so I will likely choose it as my back up plan.

You’re seriously underestimating how much work a CS degree alone involves.

@simba9 not where i’m going, its an LAC. And it won’t be any harder than my high school.Plus I’ve already gone through multi in math and will be coming in taking data structures. I’ve had many other classes though, so I know java, basic, objective-C, and SQLite. But this is beside the point and a discussion for my other thread, not here.
