I just found out I'll be in a triple with connected bath next year, which means that it's about 1 1/2 times the size of a double but has to be shared with, yes, three people. Has anyone been in a triple? Is this good or bad?

Thanks!

um…er…yeah.

Sounds awful. Make sure you’re not the guy in the middle.

Hey at least when you fart, you can pretend it’s not you.

You can also play poker between the 3 of you so that the winner or the top 2 gets the bed whereas the loser gets the floor. You do this every night and you’ll be competing for the bracelet in Vegas in no time.

huh?^ triples have 3 beds lol…no use in competing =)

I thought 3/2 size of a double meant a really big mattress. hehe.

No a triple, especially if they’re on top of each other, would be Awesome imo.

The connected bath will be nice, besides having to clean it. Otherwise… um… just try to stay positive, maybe it won’t be so bad.

^Unless the school cleans it for you.

OP should ask other people going to the particular school.

It’s not necessarily that bad, especially if the room is a designed triple and not three people being squeezed into one room meant for two. The main downside is that it increases your odds of getting a really bad roommate, since you have two instead of one. Plus, there’s less privacy. If your roommates are cool though, it probably won’t be a big deal, and if your roommates suck, it’s a big deal whether you’re in a double or a triple anyway.

My friend did random roommate this year and ended up getting a triple. She lucked out and really liked both of her roommates–they weren’t her best friends, but they did connect and enjoy each other’s company. And since she was the last to move out, she put the beds together to create a queen bed with a fort underneath for the last week. It was pretty cool.

A triple runs the risk of running in a 2 v 1 situation.

At first I thought you meant a triple major. I guess this is preferable.

My D was admitted off the waitlist and was in a triple. It turned out fine - it was a huge room. For next year, one of them will be an Resident Assistant, so my D is rooming with the other one. She said it would have been awkward otherwise (3 going to 2, leaving one out) - because they all got along so well.

When isn’t a threesome desirable?

triple saves money
if you are a type of person whos quiet and alone, you shouldnt get it though

Having a triple, no. Having a threesome, yes. :D

i think 3 girls is the worst combination for triple dorm room
but 3 guys seem to be okay.
if you r a girl, room with 2 guys

“three girlfriends are gossiping on the table”
“one girl has to leave”
“she left the place”
“2 girls talks **** about her”

What are the pros and cons of a triple? I thought it increases your chances of making friends earlier?
