Is Honors housing guaranteed for Honors students?

I just saw today on the application tracker that I got accepted to the Honors program. I attended an Honors seminar a few months ago, and I seem to remember them saying something about how all Honors students were guaranteed a spot in the Honors housing at Middlebrook, but now that I'm doing more research (the housing stuff comes out tomorrow), I'm not finding anything about that.

Does anyone know?

For bonus points: How does Middlebrook compare to other dorms, especially for and Honors student?

The housing application just opened today. If you think you might be going to Minnesota, I would highly suggest you apply for housing and submit the $25.00 application fee. Minnesota assigns housing based on the date you APPLY & PAY for the housing application fee. You can list your choice for Honors on the application.

When you receive your honors program acceptance letter, you will see that the ‘PS’ addresses this. It says your space in in honors residential community is guaranteed so long as you request it on housing app by 5/1. So you don’t really have to pay the $25 to apply now if you don’t want to. Also Serge Rudaz (program director) and Thuy-Vy (NMSF counselor) both assured me of this during meetings. We applied anyway since there are a couple of single rooms on each floor and I figured it’s worth a shot to get on list early to try for them, though they told me they give preference first to students who have a physical need for a single.

If DS goes to Minn., he would prefer to live in the CSE LLC first then Honors second. We put in our appl. also.
