Is ILR any good for economics?

I’m applying to ILR looking to focus in Economics. I plan to minor in economics through CAS to supplement the ILR major.

Does anybody have any experience with ILR Econ?

ILR is highly sought out.
Not sure why you might be worried, it’s Cornell.
Good luck!

Back in my day, ILR offered exactly one major, and it was not economics per se.
.My guess is, given its requirements, the major would particularly lend itself to someone interested in labor economics.

To make sure it can meet your needs, look closely at the ILR curriculum, the required courses and the number of out-of-college credits you will realistically be able to take, after meeting requirements.

You can take many electives in econ and yes get a minor in econ. Have seen other threads about ILR grads going on to PhD in econ. Many relevant math and econ course count towards your major and you also have lots of electives.
