Is International Relations a good major?

I would like to major in this, and looking at colleges which specialize in this major. I would like to minor possibly in a language-preferably Chinese, Arabic or French, business, geography or a combination.
My passions are history/geography/languages and would love to travel as a profession.

Please if you know the recent job market, that would be helpful. I'm just worried that there will not be enough jobs in foreign service. I went on a couple college tours, and know a couple people college who switched out of international relations. If you did this, why did you do it? Was the major too broad? or too easy?

Please help:)

The course is too broad and the pressure to pass the foreign service exam is really intimidating.

Well the course is really interesting that’s why I shift to IR course. But if you really want to pursue the IR major, you should first be fluent to any other foreign languages like Mandarin, French, Spanish or German language. at least two or more language would be helpful
