Is it a good idea to list wait-list classes as IP?

Hey! I was wondering if anyone could give me advice about listing classes your wait-listed in as In Progress/Planned. Would it be a good idea? or should I just call the admissions office I make any changes? Spring semester starts February 14, I think, and I'm not sure if I will get in my 2 wait-list classes as teachers are getting more strict about taking people of the wait-list. They're not pre-reqs or necessary classes.

Your semester does not start until mid February? Geez! If you are worried, there should be a box on the bottom of the page for additional comments. You should probably be ok just putting something there.

Oh and cool username.

All your spring classes should be listed as Planned, not In Progress.
If you didn’t get into one of your planned classes for spring you have to call individual UCs to let them know.

^^^ I don’t think that is sound advice to give everyone. My spring classes started today so my classes should definitely be listed as IP. I do think it’s a tough call for classes that don’t start until February. I would just email or call admissions and ask.

I would say planned for waitlisted courses, in progress for those that you are enrolled in.

@LAladyy I was replying to OP, not anyone else.
Isn’t “In progress” and “Planned” pretty much self-explanatory?
In progress is for classes that you HAVE started attending but have not yet received a grade for yet.
Planned is for classes that you HAVE NOT started attending but is planning to.

If by the time your spring classes have not yet started when you submit the update, you put “Planned” and not “In progress”
there are no tough calls.
