Hi everyone,

So I am just wondering if it is an advantage to turn in an MIT application (RD) earlier rather then near the deadline. Will adcoms like it if I turn it in much earlier than the deadline as compared to say a couple days early?

Thanks!

It doesn’t matter in terms of the admissions officers – applications will be handed out to them to read as they’re received and completed, but an application that’s read early by one admissions officer will be read later by another. And no application will be admitted or rejected until selection committee convenes in late February.

If you think it will be helpful to you to get your application in early, do it, by all means. But it will not be a factor one way or another in your admissions decision.
