So MyMIT updated yesterday and I found out that there's no interviewer in my area...

Although it says that the interview is waived and will not be held disadvantageous against me, I feel like a crucial part of my application is missing.

So will having a waived interview really hurt me? I remember many of you saying that the essays, recommendations and interviews were the most important part (after stats).

Like they say, it won’t be weighed against you, but you do miss out on an excellent opportunity to let them know who you are. My (inexperienced) advice would be to work on those essays and make sure they really reflect your personality. :)
