Is it beneficial to take courses for college credit spring term of senior year?

One of my nearby colleges is offering free college courses in topics such as English and Sociology, and offers college credit. The credits range from 2-3.
Is it still worth it to take college courses in spring term of senior year? Will I be able to save a lot of time and money?
The notifications for this college program acceptance come out at the end of December, so if I get in, can I put that I'm accepted on my Common App? Can I put prospective college courses on my Common App or resume? Will that help in the admissions process at all?
Sorry if it comes off that I am completely uninterested in the course and just want to enroll for the sake of putting it on my Common App. I'm just trying to see if this is something useful for me to pursue, because it requires a lot of commitment and is going to be a lot of work.
