Basically, does taking more SAT II's help at all?

I have two SAT subject tests under my belt: SAT Bio(E) and World History and I'm set to take SAT Math 1 in the fall. I was thinking about possibly taking SATs for Literature or Chemistry but I'm not sure if it would just be a waste of money, since most colleges only ask for 2-3.

(I'm a rising junior, so I still have plenty of time before the foreign language SAT II.)

Depends, if you got the scores you wanted already and you took the required tests (ie, CalTech requires Math II, for instance) then there’s no reason to keep taking them. At some point colleges might start to think “What does this kid do just take tests all day?”

I see what you mean.
I’m a little conflicted, though. I thought SAT II’s were a good way to show colleges how you were (somewhat?) well-versed in multiple different subjects and well-rounded instead of just being, say, a “math person.”

But with your point of colleges wondering if you just take tests all the time, how many colleges actually think that? Is that really the general thought of, say, the top 40ish schools or something?

If you are an international student whose school might not offer a standard American curriculum, the SAT IIs are a nice way to demonstrate proficiency. However, if you are in the U.S., having a pile of subject tests will not really serve a purpose–just have 3 with high scores and you are OK. (Try to have Math II, and a language so they can be used for placement for college.)
