<p>Just go to the community college. It's cheaper and often there are transfer agreements that will guarantee your admission to a UC (which one depends on your area). And I've seen no evidence that UCs give more credence to CSU transfers than CC transfers.</p>
<p>I am a first year at SDSU and am expecting a gpa of about 3.7 after two semesters. Ultimatly I want to become a bioengineer, and i do not have confidence in sdsu pogram for bioengineering. While the social life is great at this school, academically it needs improvment for my major. Great for buisness. Thus I will be going to a cc for a year so that I can apply as a cc transfer student rather than from a state. Do not make the mistake I made and go to a state to try and get into a UC. It simply makes things more complicated than it needs to be. Hope this helps since I am in the situation you are describing possibly being in.</p>
