<p>Some of Cornell’s colleges are designated as a NY State Land Grant College, so they are easier to get into for NY State residents. Specifically those colleges are</p>
<ul>
<li>College of Veterinary Medicine</li>
<li>College of Agriculture and Life Sciences</li>
<li>College of Human Ecology</li>
<li>School of Industrial and Labor Relations</li>
</ul>
<p>The other colleges at Cornell which are not part of the NY State Land Grant College, such as the College of Arts & Sciences, DO NOT given preference for NY State residents.</p>
