I assumed you had some sort of bizarre misconception.</p>
<p>I’ve met like 5 or 6 people that I knew via the internet. I hung out with one guy in Denver and another guy in Boston. I actually met my ex-girlfriend because of a guy I met from this very site.</p>
<p>depends on the context, but I would vote not creepy.</p>
<p>Think about it–thousands of incoming college students use Facebook to meet other students months before they would meet in real life,</p>
<p>I fell in love with a penpal of six years, whom I had only known from “the Internet” and telephone and pictures before traveling 300 miles to meet her in person.</p>
<p>it was the greatest weekend of my life!</p>
<p>but we spent 6 years building that, and didn’t meet on a dating site (just fell in love through chance conversation).</p>
<p>I suggest bringing a friend and meeting in a well lit area with lots of other people around. Just in case :).</p>
