I'm a transfer student and thinking of getting a leave of absence for winter and spring quarters. I was actually not going to attend UCLA for a year, but I read that first quarter is very important so I'll be going there for Fall quarter.

Just wondering if anyone has been through the whole process of leave of absence and readmission. I already looked through UCLA page, but couldn't find the information I needed like if anyone can get rejected for a readmission.

Thank you in advance for anyone who has information.

Oh, not trying to 'hijack' your thread or anything, I have a similar question:
I was admitted for this Fall, but might not be able to attend now, if I cancel the admission, will it be easier to be readmitted next year? since I already got in once?

No it will not be easier, but it assures you that you're good enough for UCLA.

My friend took last Fall off and had no trouble coming back. You should call admissions about taking two quarters off.

emucla: you might want to talk to FAid if you are getting any aid because you might lose some money if you are not enrolled for the whole school year.
