Back when I applied to Michigan State, I was still unsure about what I wanted to major in. I ended up applying as a Japanese major because I knew that I wanted to continue learning Japanese (and I thought it might give me a better chance of acceptance).

Anyways, now I have decided that I wish to pursue something along the lines of international business and I am wondering how hard it would be to switch to a business major. Does anyone know?

Go here [Contact Us | Michigan State University Office of Admissions](http://admissions.msu.edu/emailadmis.asp) and select “change of major request.” Say that you want to switch from japanese to pre-business. It’s that simple! Most people change their majors and are really indecisive their first year (or before they start school), don’t worry about it. It doesn’t affect admission to the university whatsoever, once you’re in you can change your major as many times as you’d like.
