Hi! I am going to be attending NYU with a Dramatic Writing major, and I was wondering how difficult it would be to balancing the Dramatic Writing program and the general requirements of NYU if I was also planning on completing a double major in CAS? If it helps, I would be double majoring in Dramatic Writing and Classics (Latin + Greek).

Any input would be appreciated!

I have a friend who is a dramatic writing major (Tisch) with a double major in psychology (through CAS) and a minor in philosophy.

Personally, I’m a double major in politics and philosophy with a minor in psychology.

We’re both graduating one year ahead of schedule - e.g. we’re both finishing in three years, rather than four.

If you take only major related classes/the required gen ed’s, you’ll have no problem completing a double major.

Awesome! Thanks so much.
If you don’t mind my asking, are the gen ed requirements the same for Tisch students as CAS students? Would we still have to take maths and sciences?

Gen Eds for Tisch are different from Tisch.

Here’s the link to the Gen Ed’s for Tisch:
