I originally applied to Viterbi, and I put Chemical Engineering as my major. However, I've realized that there is a possibility that I'm going to switch my major to business/accounting. I'm still not sure yet, but I want to know how difficult it is. Thank you!

As long as you do well in the pre reqs for Marshall and fill out their application to transfer internally you should have a great chance.

What are the pre reqs? If I decide to transfer, I want to transfer to Marshall after my Freshman year (or possibly after the fall term of Freshman year), what classes should I take? Must I take Writ 140 first? Because I don’t plan on taking Writ 140 in my Freshman year. (No more space!)

Thank you!

here is the link to the info for transferring internally into Marshall: [USC Marshall Undergraduate Program Admissions Internal Major Applicant](http://www.marshall.usc.edu/undergradprogram/admissions/admissions-internal-major-applicant.htm)

You will need to have writing 140 done or in progress when you apply.

If you want, I believe you can still change your major within the first 3 weeks of school. Talk to your counselor.

can I start taking the pre reqs in the fall term of my Freshman year? is it a bit too early?

Yes. If you are serious about Marshall. I would start right away.

How about transfering to marshall to viterbi?
Im not sure how it works but I got admitted into marshall but im interested in the CSBA dual degree which is more computer heavy than business, and is administered by viterbi

It looks like the CSBA is a joint program with Marshall and Viterbi. Here is the info:
[USC Catalogue: The Schools: USC Viterbi School of Engineering: Computer Science: Bachelor of Science](http://www.usc.edu/dept/publications/cat2008/schools/engineering/computer_science/undergraduate.html)

I would suggest making an appointment or emailing someone at Marshall and asking them how you go about doing this. I would also inquire at orientation as well if you have not gone yet…

^ thanks my marshall advisor asked me to contact viterbi and Im working with someone there now

Great! Thanks for the update!

I already contacted an advisor at Marshall but she told me to contact the admission office of Marshall instead, so yesterday I already sent the office an email but no response has been made yet :(

I think itd be better just to call them

On the website I found out that only about 50% of the internal transfer were admitted last year X_X It seems hard. I wonder what I should do if I can’t transfer to Marshall successfully…
